White Ceylon Pepper – the fiery sibling of black pepper. Just as versatile, with a milder flavor but plenty of heat.
White pepper is a “processed natural product.” The fully ripe pepper berries are first soaked in water, allowing the outer skin to loosen so the white core can be isolated.
Our white pepper comes directly from Sri Lanka and offers a fruity-spicy taste that’s noticeably different from the aged products commonly found in European supermarkets.
Our Recommendation
Whole white peppercorns are ideal for pickling herring or feta cheese. Ground, it’s perfect for seasoning light-colored dishes.
For best results, grind fresh over the plate just before serving.
