Black Ceylon pepper – the perfect all-round spice: A little pepper gives a nice spiciness, a lot of pepper results in an exciting spiciness.

Black pepper is a fermented food. The green, unripe berries are picked. The berries are dried in the Sri Lankan sun and ferment until they turn black.

Our black pepper comes directly from Sri Lanka and tastes fruity and spicy, quite different from the many stored products sold in European supermarkets.

Our recommendation: Black peppercorns are suitable as whole berries for pickling herring or feta cheese - and for cooking meat, soups and broths.
Tip from the chef: Season pan-fried meat or mushrooms not in the pan, but with freshly ground pepper on the serving plate.
