Black Ceylon Pepper – the perfect all-round spice: a small amount adds a gentle kick, a generous amount delivers an exciting heat.
Black pepper is a fermented food. The green, unripe berries are harvested and sun-dried in Sri Lanka. During this process, they ferment and turn black.
Our black pepper comes directly from Sri Lanka and offers a fruity, spicy flavor – distinctly different from the typical bulk products sold in European supermarkets.
Our recommendation
Whole black peppercorns are ideal for pickling herring or feta and for cooking broths.
For seasoning dishes, grind the pepper fresh directly onto the plate.
