Oral care for dogs – more and more animal lovers are deciding to pamper their four-legged friends with oral care – and that naturally means oral care.

Dogs – as we hear again and again – are quite picky when it comes to the taste of dental care products.
We were excited to discover that our “SCHETTLER Organic Toothpaste Powder – The Original” is apparently a favorite cleaning agent for many animals: it has a strong salty flavor and only a slight mint note.

But the most important thing for our animal friends is the fact that our toothpaste powder is completely free of artificial chemicals – and xylitol has to be counted among these today. In many products, xylitol is no longer birch sugar, but rather a sugar substitute, usually made from food waste. Production takes place at temperatures of up to 200°C using sulfuric acid or caustic soda. This ingredient is then sold as a "natural ingredient."
Xylitol is toxic to dogs and can lead to rapid death if even small amounts are ingested.

Not with us – because just as dogs can be very picky about their taste, our customers are also picky about the ingredients. After all, we put the toothpaste in our mouths regularly and every day – and as we like to say: Whatever you put in your mouth, you should also be able to eat.
This also applies to dogs.
